Getting it running
- Unzip the folder somewhere sensible —
C:\ScriptureCaster\is a good home. Avoid the Desktop and OneDrive-synced folders. - Run
ScriptureCaster.exe. - Before your first service, open a command prompt in that folder and run
ScriptureCaster.exe --selftest. It checks the screens, the fonts and the database on the machine that will actually be used.

What is new
1.4 rebuilt the word search, stopped the passage jumping when you tap a verse, and put the remote on port 80. Every change in every version is listed in the release notes.
Updating later
From this version on, the program updates itself: Settings → Updates. It downloads only what changed — usually a few megabytes rather than the whole program — and your settings and your Bible library are never part of an update. How updating works
What Windows will say
The download is not yet code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn you the first time. Choose More info → Run anyway. A signing certificate is a yearly cost the project does not carry today; it is one of the first things donations would go towards, because a signed download is one fewer thing standing between a church and a working projector.
